Did Ben Hogan play on a golf simulator?
Ben Hogan, one of the most famous golfers in history, died in 1997. Hogan was known for his scientific approach to the game of golf and his training methods were very innovative for their time. His statements and teachings focused on playing technique, strategy and the mental aspect of golf.
However, I did not find any statements or comments by Hogan about golf simulators. I guess the immediate reason is the fact that golf simulator technology developed significantly only after his death. At the time when Ben Hogan was an active competitor (mainly in the 1940s and 1950s), golf simulator technology did not yet exist.
The concept of simulators began to develop in the 1970s, although its origins can be dated back to earlier decades. The first simulators were simple and focused mainly on analyzing the trajectory of the ball. As computer technology and graphics have advanced, golf simulators have become more advanced and realistic.
In the 1980s and 1990s, there was significant development in this field, and simulators began to use more advanced technologies, such as motion sensors and 3D graphics. During this period, simulators also became more accessible to a wider audience.
Next time we will talk about the approach and methods of playing golf that are attributed to Ben Hogan.
Good game!
